Bruntsfield is a traditional members’ club with a strict dress code. Gentlemen must wear a jacket and tie in the Dining Room and in the Members' Lounge at all times. Smart casual wear is allowed in the Visitors' Lounge throughout the day.
Golfers are not permitted to change into golfing attire in the car park, and should use the facilities within the clubhouse. A separate locker room for ladies is located next to the Professional’s shop
Golfers should wear suitable attire on the course. Jeans, football/rugby shirts are not permitted. Gentlemen may dress in tailored shorts provided they wear long socks. Shirts should be collared or round necked and must be tucked in at the waist band. Golf shoes, caps and waterproofs are not allowed to be worn in the clubhouse outwith the locker room area.
Bar, Dining Room & Catering
The dining room is open daily from 12.30pm (12 noon at weekends) with last orders at 2pm. Lunch is in the form of a multi choice carvery with a choice of 5 main courses or fish to order.
Tea and coffee are available in the Members’ Lounge and the Visitors’ Lounge throughout the day.
Ladies are most welcome at Bruntsfield, and can use the Visitors' Lounge and Dining Room at all times and play on the course without restriction except when Bruntsfield Members' only competitions are being held.
The bar is open from 11am daily until 11pm (5.30pm in winter).
Sandwiches are available in the visitors’ lounge or can be pre-ordered by contacting the Club Steward (0131 336 2006). Other requirements can also be catered for on request, such as early morning bacon rolls / evening dinners – please contact the club for further information.
